Drum Notes....3/30
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tested out the new kick drum in Jazz band today... very cool and useful. Might need another pedal in honor of it, though, I had to adjust the currently used one for best sound. I could use a chain-drive anyway, they are much easier. Forgot the tom, but am going to need to figure out the setup at some point. When I put the single tom rack on the new kick, it did not cooperate well. Maybe it will be fine, I'm not sure.
it has an "H" on it.....but I am not sure what it stands for
The mysterious "H" is on an orange star, and the hat reads "1965" on the back
Also, it came with a shiny MLB sticker if that is any help.
If anybody knows the whereabouts of this letter, feel free to email me or leave a comment!!
Otherwise, I will just have to Ask Mo!
Peace!

Band of the week!
Nirvana!!!!
One of the greatest grunge bands of all time, this Seattle trio became one of the most influential alternative rock bands of all time. Great Performances such as MTV Unplugged in New York will live on for years as an incredible representation of this band's work. The surviving members of Nirvana have also moved on to many other notable projects in today's music scene. Enjoy the clips!!
Albums of note:
All of them, Including Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero, and Unplugged

For those who like music.....Zune social Rules!!
In anticipation of receiving a new 8 GB Zune that I ordered not long ago from the Zune originals website (has not come yet!....grrr), I decided to download the Zune software from the M'Soft site in order to get my wonder device up and running ASAP. So during this process I was invited to join Zune Social, the social network based on the device, which I had heard a little something about, but did not totally understand until recently. When I first signed up I was unsure what to do. I went through some sort of signup process, and then had my dad create an account to grant me parental permission (I am a minor, after all). Then that led to implementing some parental restrictions, which I fortunately have access to (you heard nothing). So once I had adjusted the parental controls to fit my needs (what adult knows my needs, anyway?) I began listening. When using the Zune software ( it works like Windows Media Player or iTunes, but much better than iTunes), all the songs you hear are kept track of and posted as such on your Zune Card, in the form of a sort of album art montage/Queue. The Zune card is sort of a user profile on which your "Zune Name" is posted. Mine is RhythmRocker.
Anyway, I started crankin' some Ozomatli on the Zune, (lets call it the Zplayer, so not to be confused with the actual portable device) er....Zplayer, and I check my profile and Poof! My most recent band shows up on the card. Amazing!
Now don’t go getting this "big brother is watching" feeling. You don’t have to have all your songs displayed, or you can choose to only let you friends see them. But the beautiful thing, I realize, is that music is a wonderful medium from which to base socializing. Think about it. What you listen to tells everything about you, but at the same time nothing personal. It is completely down-to-earth and real; no thinking about what people will like to see while you are writing a profile. Just listen to music however you like, and the site does the work, connecting you with people of similar interests, and finding you more that you might like based on their suggestions. And you don't even need to have a Zune!!
So for a person that resents social networking, Zune Social truly rocks my socks. I would advise you all to get a Zune Card and start listening and discovering now. If you wand to know what I have been listening to, feel free to visit my profile, my username is RhythmRocker. I would be happy to add people to my friends list. Need some friends!
The software download is a little funky at first, but if you are patient, it will soon get going pretty quickly and won’t require much fuss to do its thing. Once it is running, it will import music from other places on your computer, such as Windows media player (and iTunes maybe??). The system is great; I hope to see some of you on it soon (here is the website again). Happy listening!

The GIANT upset: New York knows how to win a Super Bowl.
Step 2: Avoid the defense at all costs

Step 4: Smack Recievers in face.

Step 6: Give Tom Brady a Big Hug
Everybody loves Tom. Okay, Not really.Step 7: DON'T get burned
Hey # 23! Never do this again. Ever.
Step 8: Use your head (to catch the ball).
This guy is really, really smart. No wonder he caught one of the biggest passes in the game.
Step 9: Touchdown!!!
And Finally, Step 10: Celebrate!
Long live the giants!!!

The quest to become the world's greatest Rock Band Band

As you might know (well, now you know) I have recently received the most amazing Christmas gifts ever in the form of the game Rock Band and the means to play it all day and all night (an Xbox 360). And since Rock Band is clearly one of the best multi player games of all time, there was absolutely no way that I was not gonna start a band or two. The first band I started was a 3-person band naturally called Band.One. This band consists of me on drums, and my sister and any of her little friends switching off on singing and guitar.
Band. One is currently sitting on 146 stars (for each song you play, you gain from 1-5 stars based on how well you do. these are added to your cumulative game score) and 186,400 fans. Not to shabby for a couple of n00bz.
The pop duo consisting of me and my sister, Twice az Nice, is currently edging out Band. One with 149 stars and a whopping 230,000 fans. Note that T.A.N. has also recently acquired a jet and is now on a world tour playing venues in places like Paris, Moscow, and Tokyo.
My other bands are slightly more obscure. Indie pop bands The Slayers (20 stars) and Shifting Balance (54 stars) have not amassed in one place all that many times But with or without a bass player, we proud owners of Rock Band know how to rock nonstop. Werd!
